Tips to get it accepted first time

  • Recent SSC application forms take your photograph live through the camera, so the signature is usually the only image you upload. Read your notice to be sure.
  • Sign inside a box about 4 cm wide and 2 cm tall so the signature isn't tiny once it's resized. SSC rejects blurred and miniature signatures.
  • Candidates with a visual impairment may upload a thumb impression in place of the signature, at the same size.
  • Your photo, signature and thumb impression are exactly what someone needs to impersonate you on a form. This resizer never uploads them: everything runs on your device.

SSC upload FAQ

What is the SSC signature size?

315 × 157 px (4.0 × 2.0 cm), 10–20 KB, JPG. Black ink on white paper. Blurred or tiny signatures are rejected. These are the specifications as of October 2026; always confirm against your notification on ssc.gov.in.

What is the SSC photo size?

276 × 354 px (3.5 × 4.5 cm), 20–50 KB, JPG. Front-facing, plain background, no cap, mask or glasses. Recent SSC forms capture your photo live with the webcam or phone camera. Use this preset only where a form still asks for an uploaded photo. These are the specifications as of October 2026; always confirm against your notification on ssc.gov.in.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The resizer runs entirely inside your browser using your device's own processor. Your photo is never sent to a server, never stored and never seen by us. Once the page has loaded you can switch on airplane mode and it keeps working.

My form needs at least 20 KB but the file comes out smaller. What do I do?

Nothing: the resizer handles it. Small images such as a 140 × 60 signature are naturally only a few KB. When a form sets a minimum, the resizer saves at top quality and, if that's still too small, pads the JPG with harmless filler data inside the file. The picture is unchanged and the file meets the limit.

Does 50 KB mean 50,000 or 51,200 bytes?

Portals don't agree, so the resizer aims inside both readings: under the maximum counted in thousands, and over the minimum counted in 1,024s. A file shown as 20–50 KB here passes either way.
