No. Scanned pages, PDFs, document names, folders and recognised text are stored only on your phone. They are never uploaded unless you turn on encrypted backup yourself.

No. Install Scansy and start scanning. There is no sign-up, no email and no sign-in wall. An account is only needed for the optional encrypted backup, if you choose to use it.

No. Scansy has no ads, and never will.

Text recognition runs on your phone, so images are never sent anywhere to be read. Once a page is scanned you can select and copy its text, and search your documents.

You can export documents as PDF or as JPG images, and share them to any app on your phone.

Scansy can compress a PDF, split it or extract pages, merge several PDFs, lock a PDF with a password, unlock it, add your signature and password-protect several files at once. It also has a built-in PDF viewer.

Yes. Import images from your gallery and Scansy will treat them like a fresh scan, with edge detection, crop adjust and filters.

Yes. Pro is tied to the Google account you used in Google Play. Use the same Google account in Google Play on your new phone and your purchase can be restored in Scansy.

Only anonymous usage counts (for example, that a scan was saved) and crash reports, to help fix bugs. They never include your documents, file names, recognised text or images, and you can turn both off with one switch in Settings. Analytics data is kept for 2 months.

Scansy Vault is an optional, end-to-end encrypted backup that is coming soon. Documents will be encrypted on your phone before upload, so we cannot read them. Unless you turn it on, your documents never leave your phone.

Without backup there is no account, and your documents exist only on your phone: uninstall Scansy or clear its data and they are gone. If you use Scansy Vault, you can delete your backup and account from Settings in the app.
