JEE Main also takes your Class 10 or birth certificate as a PDF of 50–300 KB. Scansy, our Android app, scans marksheets, caste certificates and ID cards into clean PDFs and compresses them to the size the form wants. Offline, no account, nothing uploaded, just like this tool.

Tips to get it accepted first time

  • NTA asks for files named Photograph and Signature. The resizer suggests a descriptive name; rename the file before uploading if your form insists.
  • Spectacles are allowed if you wear them every day, but no tinted glasses, caps or masks.
  • Don't apply beauty filters or edit the photo. Lighting fixes are fine; changing your face isn't.
  • Your photo, signature and thumb impression are exactly what someone needs to impersonate you on a form. This resizer never uploads them: everything runs on your device.

JEE Main upload FAQ

What is the JEE Main photo size?

276 × 354 px (3.5 × 4.5 cm), 10–200 KB, JPG. Colour, white background, 80% face visible including ears, no filters. These are the specifications as of October 2026; always confirm against your notification on jeemain.nta.nic.in.

What is the JEE Main signature size?

276 × 118 px (3.5 × 1.5 cm), 10–100 KB, JPG. Blue or black ink on white paper. These are the specifications as of October 2026; always confirm against your notification on jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The resizer runs entirely inside your browser using your device's own processor. Your photo is never sent to a server, never stored and never seen by us. Once the page has loaded you can switch on airplane mode and it keeps working.

My form needs at least 20 KB but the file comes out smaller. What do I do?

Nothing: the resizer handles it. Small images such as a 140 × 60 signature are naturally only a few KB. When a form sets a minimum, the resizer saves at top quality and, if that's still too small, pads the JPG with harmless filler data inside the file. The picture is unchanged and the file meets the limit.

Does 50 KB mean 50,000 or 51,200 bytes?

Portals don't agree, so the resizer aims inside both readings: under the maximum counted in thousands, and over the minimum counted in 1,024s. A file shown as 20–50 KB here passes either way.
